Two free browser previews: Spirestorm and Flingkeep

Our two free desktop-browser previews are playable: Spirestorm and Flingkeep. One turns a successful dive into another chance to climb; the other turns a pointer gesture into a throw that protects your keep.

Content notice: both previews contain stylized or fantasy violence, blood and dismemberment. They are in active development.

Spirestorm: dive, strike and rebound

Dive into enemies and turn a successful strike into your next foothold. Return to the Travelling Haven to prepare another ascent.

Play Spirestorm free on itch.io or use the Game Jolt mirror. The shared standalone release is build 2026.10.02.6-standalone.1.

A/D, arrow keys or mouse movement steer. Hold Space or the left mouse button to dive, hit an enemy and release to rebound. F or the right mouse button brakes. Q/E strike sideways; W or the middle mouse button strikes upward. 3 uses the starting jump. Escape pauses; M toggles sound.

Wishlist Spirestorm's full Steam release, which has a Coming Soon page. The Steam demo has a separate review; the browser preview link above is the playable version announced here.

Flingkeep: grab, throw and defend

Grab invading stick figures and throw them away from your keep. Develop defenses and unlock spells, or practise in Chaos Arena.

Play Flingkeep free on itch.io. The shared standalone release is build v13.2.8-standalone.

Hold an enemy with the pointer, move to lift or swing, then release to throw. Space grips or drops the hovered enemy. Q/W/E cast unlocked spells at the pointer. Escape pauses; F toggles fullscreen; H shows details.

Flingkeep's Steam store and demo reviews remain pending as checked on 3 October 2026. This post announces its available browser preview.

Downloads, progress and credits

The studio preview hub brings both games together. The GitHub pre-release provides their versioned standalone ZIP downloads and SHA-256 checksums. To run a download, extract the ZIP, serve its folder with a local HTTP server and open the root index.html. The itch.io play links offer immediate hosted play.

Progress stays in the browser you use to play. Short desktop-browser gameplay loops were checked; full campaign completion and native mobile play have not been independently verified.

Development used AI-assisted code, game text and artwork. Spirestorm includes generated artwork and Suno-generated music reused from the studio owner's existing Dig Game library, with project and third-party audio credits in its archive. Flingkeep includes pre-generated stock TTS voices with their packaged provenance. Applicable credits and third-party terms remain with the downloads; no blanket open-source licence is added.

Save both games in the studio collection and tell us which moment made you want another attempt.
